X Splits Verified Organizations into Premium Tiers

X Reorganizes Premium Subscriptions for Businesses and Governments
X announced on Tuesday a significant restructuring of its premium subscription services. The existing Verified Organizations offering, designed for both businesses and governmental entities, is being divided into two distinct tiers: Premium Business and Premium Organizations.
New Tier Details
The Premium Organizations tier will be identifiable by a grey checkmark. It remains specifically intended for use by governments and international organizations. Conversely, Premium Business will be denoted by a gold checkmark and is tailored to facilitate business expansion on the X platform.
According to X, the Premium Business subscription provides businesses of all sizes – from small enterprises and startups to large global corporations – with new tools to enhance organizational scalability.
Premium Business Tiers
The Premium Business offering is structured into three levels: Basic, Full Access, and Enterprise. Each tier provides a different set of features and benefits.
X states that Premium Business is designed to help companies achieve growth by bolstering credibility through the gold checkmark and increasing visibility via affiliate badges. Furthermore, it incorporates robust impersonation protection and expedited human support for swift issue resolution.
Additional features within Premium Business include tools for recruitment, real-time monitoring of brand and industry trends, and access to SuperGrok.
Handle Availability and Marketplace
X also revealed that Premium Business subscribers will soon have access to priority handles. A marketplace for acquiring “high-value handles” is also under development. TechCrunch was informed via email that priority handles, consisting of currently inactive accounts, will be offered to Premium Businesses at no cost. Rarer, more desirable inactive handles will be available for purchase.
Subscription Costs
The Premium Business Basic subscription is priced at $200 per month and provides essential tools for establishing a business presence on X. The Full Access tier costs $1,000 monthly and includes affiliate access, expedited support, priority handles, impersonation defense, and early access to new features.
The Enterprise tier offers advanced tools, dedicated account management, and customized support to meet unique organizational objectives. Pricing for the Enterprise tier is determined on a custom basis.
The Premium Organizations plan maintains a monthly cost of $1,000.
Promotional Offer
For a limited time, X is offering subscribers the opportunity to receive advertising credits equivalent to 100% of their subscription fee.
Company Statement
“X is the best place to grow your organization’s influence and speak directly to the people who matter,” stated Seth Fuchs, X Engineering, in an official announcement. “We’re building for organizations that want to move fast, stay relevant, and grow directly on the world’s town square. And we’re just getting started.”
The introduction of these new Premium tiers, including the more affordable $200 option, is likely a strategic move by X to increase revenue as it navigates challenges within its advertising business.
