The game boasts a remarkably straightforward interface. Two players each utilize a pad that must be activated upon the occurrence of a specific event. The player who reacts first earns a point. The central element of the game lies in these events.

2 Player Reactor features a variety of challenges, exemplified by the scenario depicted above. In this challenge, players must strike their pad the instant the displayed word corresponds to its color – for instance, when the word "yellow" is presented in yellow.

The game incorporates other tests of perception and speed. These include swiftly identifying the accuracy of mathematical equations or activating the pad when the number of plus signs (+) exceeds the number of minus signs (-) within a randomly generated grid.
