Ubisoft+ Now Available on Stadia & Luna | Gaming News

Ubisoft first revealed details of its subscription offering several months ago, in June. The company is now renaming the service from UPlay+ to Ubisoft+. Furthermore, the service is expanding to Amazon’s Luna and Google’s Stadia platforms. Ubisoft is pursuing a strategy of broad platform availability for its subscription, allowing a single subscription to grant access to Ubisoft+ games on PC, Amazon Luna, and Stadia.
Ubisoft+ is currently accessible on PC. A monthly fee of $14.99 provides access to a library of over 100 games, encompassing both established favorites and recent releases. This includes titles from franchises like Splinter Cell and Prince of Persia, as well as the company’s future game launches. Titles such as Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Watch Dogs Legion, and Immortals Fenyx Rising will be included in the Ubisoft+ library on their respective release dates.
Ubisoft aims to incorporate premium editions of its games within the subscription, eliminating the need for separate purchases of game passes to unlock additional content. Subscribers can, for example, play the ultimate editions of games like Rainbow Six Siege, The Division 2, and Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.
Access to Ubisoft+ games on Amazon Luna will be available starting November 10 for those participating in the beta test of Amazon’s cloud gaming service. Google will also enable linking of Ubisoft+ accounts to Stadia before the end of the year. Notably, a Stadia Pro subscription is not required to access Ubisoft+ titles.
Ubisoft is developing cross-platform progression features, beginning with new game releases. The focus of this subscription model is on providing content, rather than being limited by specific platforms.
Currently, Microsoft and Sony do not offer support for Ubisoft+. This means that the service will not be available on Xbox or PlayStation consoles. Console manufacturers typically receive a percentage of revenue from game sales, which makes negotiations between game developers and console manufacturers more complex.
