If you prefer to be kept in the dark regarding upcoming announcements, perhaps you should stop reading now. However, given that you’ve already seen the headline and the initial image, continuing onward seems reasonable. Considering this is an Apple event, it’s likely there are still a few surprises in store. Presented here are several images showcasing the anticipated key products from today’s “Hi Speed” Apple event. These photos, obtained from Evan Blass – a well-known source of smartphone leaks – suggest the imminent release of the iPhone 12 and the HomePod Mini within the next few hours.

Specific details accompanying the images are limited, but previous reports and leaks have already provided a substantial understanding of what to expect from today’s presentation. Apple’s continued use of the notch is clearly visible, and the flat-edged design, reminiscent of the iPad Pro, appears to be incorporated. These images offer a direct view of the front and back of the devices (essentially the same renderings with minor variations).

All four predicted models are represented: the iPhone 12, 12 mini, 12 Pro, and 12 Pro Max. Pricing is projected to vary between $699 and $1,099. The display sizes will range from 5.4 to 6.7 inches, with the iPhone 12 and 12 Pro models featuring 6.1-inch screens. The Pro and Pro Max versions include a triple-camera system (compared to the dual-camera setup on the 12 and 12 mini), and also incorporate a lidar sensor, similar to the one found in the iPad Pro released earlier this year.

A variety of color options will be available, including black, white, and navy blue. A mint green finish will be offered on the more affordable models, alongside Product (RED) versions. The higher-priced models will come in gold and graphite.

Apple’s original HomePod delivered impressive sound quality, but its $349 price point was a barrier for many consumers. This new model, rumored to cost $99, would provide a more affordable way to integrate the HomeKit Hub into homes – or to supplement existing HomePod systems. Similar to the smaller versions of smart speakers from Google and Amazon, it’s probable that some of the room-filling audio capabilities will be reduced to accommodate the smaller size and lower price.

The device has a spherical shape, like the latest Echo, and features a comparable mesh speaker grille, mirroring the design of the standard HomePod. It also adopts the standard HomePod’s illuminated Siri indicator on top, along with a set of volume controls.
