TC Sessions: Mobility - Tamika Butler, Tiffany Chu & Frank Reig

The Impact of Mobility Startups on Cities
The competitive drive among new mobility companies to achieve profitability through market dominance has, unfortunately, yielded unfavorable outcomes for urban areas and their residents.
Municipal authorities and relevant agencies have learned valuable lessons from the initial rollout of ride-hailing and shared scooter programs. Consequently, they've responded by implementing stricter regulations and exercising greater oversight over operating companies.
This course correction has compelled established businesses to adapt their operational strategies and has simultaneously fostered the emergence of a new generation of startups, each proposing a distinct methodology.
TC Sessions: Mobility 2021 – Addressing Key Questions
However, a fundamental question remains: is it possible for mobility solutions to be simultaneously accessible, equitable, and profitable? And if so, how can this be achieved?
TC Sessions: Mobility 2021, a virtual event taking place on June 9th, is designed to thoroughly investigate these critical issues.
We are fortunate to have three distinguished guests who possess extensive experience at the intersection of urban planning, equity, and shared mobility: Tamika L.
