Spotify & Peloton Partnership: New Workout Playlists

Spotify and Peloton Expand Collaboration with New Features
A new partnership between Spotify and Peloton is underway, introducing a dedicated “Curated by Peloton” section within Spotify’s “Workout Hub.” This integration, available immediately, provides Spotify subscribers with access to seven regularly updated playlists crafted by Peloton instructors.
Among the available playlists are themed collections such as “Running by Peloton,” “Tunde Oyeneyin’s Playlist,” and “Strength by Peloton.” These curated selections give Spotify users a unique perspective on the music utilized in actual Peloton workout sessions.
Discovering Your Ideal Peloton Instructor
To further enhance the user experience, Spotify has implemented a “Find Your Instructor” quiz. This interactive tool is designed to match users with Peloton instructors whose musical preferences best complement their own.
The quiz analyzes user responses to a series of questions, alongside their existing listening habits on Spotify, to determine optimal instructor pairings.
Peloton Classes Inspired by Spotify Playlists
Peloton is also celebrating this collaboration by offering 11 new classes. These classes will prominently feature tracks from popular Spotify playlists, including “Today’s Top Hits,” “Door Knockers,” “Lofi Beats,” “Indigo,” and “Baila Reggaeton.”
This integration allows Peloton members to experience familiar Spotify playlists in a dynamic workout setting.
A History of Collaboration
This latest development builds upon previous collaborations between Spotify and Peloton. Last year, Peloton incorporated dozens of classes featuring songs from Spotify’s “Power Hour,” “Rock This,” and “Viva Latino” playlists.
Furthermore, Spotify launched the “Track Love” feature, enabling Peloton users to easily save songs discovered during classes directly to their Spotify libraries.
Growth and Expansion for Both Companies
The expansion of this partnership coincides with a period of success for both Spotify and Peloton. The increased demand for at-home fitness solutions during the pandemic significantly benefited both companies.
Spotify is actively pursuing strategies to broaden its service offerings and forge alliances with other digital platforms.
Recent Spotify Partnerships
Just last month, Spotify partnered with e-commerce giant Shopify. This collaboration allows artists on Spotify to link their profiles to their Shopify stores, facilitating direct merchandise sales to fans through the Spotify application.
Earlier in the year, Spotify also announced a partnership with GIPHY, the online GIF database, to enable music discovery through the use of GIFs.
