Samsung Unpacked 2025: Watch Live & Key Expectations

Samsung Unpacked Event: Anticipating the Galaxy S25 Line
Perhaps the most significant announcement stemming from the recent CES press conferences was the unveiling of another press conference. Samsung concluded the main event by providing a preview of its forthcoming showcase.
Event Details and Viewing Options
The next Samsung Unpacked event is scheduled for today at 10 a.m. PT, corresponding to 1 p.m. ET. Like previous Unpacked events, the presentation will be live-streamed.
Viewers can access the stream directly through Samsung’s official website, as well as on the company’s dedicated YouTube channel.
Pre-Order Incentives
Samsung is actively encouraging preorders before the event itself. Reservations made prior to the showcase will receive a $50 credit for use in the Samsung store. Complete details regarding this offer can be found on their website.
Galaxy S25: A Confirmed Highlight
The Galaxy S25 line is virtually guaranteed to be the central focus of the event. Since shifting away from CES/MWC for mobile announcements, Samsung has established a pattern of releasing flagship devices twice annually.
This includes the Galaxy S series around January/February, followed by the introduction of new foldable devices during the summer months.
Expected Models and Design
The lineup is expected to comprise three primary models: the S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra. The S25 Ultra represents the evolution of the S line, incorporating features previously found in the Galaxy Note series as its most premium offering.
Leading up to the event, numerous leaks, renders, and case designs have surfaced. These case designs provide insights into the potential dimensions of the new devices, based on specifications submitted by Samsung to manufacturers.
Hardware Expectations
The majority of rumors suggest the S25 will bear a strong resemblance to its predecessor. A key hardware change anticipated is a more streamlined design.
Recent reports indicate Samsung is aiming to reduce the device’s profile by 1 to 2 millimeters. The inclusion of the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, unveiled by Qualcomm last October, is also highly probable.
It's important to note that processor availability may vary in international markets, but the Snapdragon 8 Elite is expected to be standard in the United States.
The Role of Galaxy AI
Galaxy AI will undoubtedly be a prominent feature, as Samsung seeks to solidify its position as a leader in artificial intelligence. The company also aims to distinguish its AI capabilities from those offered by Google Gemini across Android devices.
Last year’s announcement of Circle to Search, a Google feature initially launched on the S24, exemplifies this strategy.
Potential Additional Announcements
Other possible, though less certain, reveals include a successor to the Galaxy Ring wearable, which received a mixed reception. A more detailed look at Project Moohan, an extended reality headset developed in collaboration with Google, may also be presented.
