Samsung's Potential Triple-Folding Smartphone Release

Samsung recently unveiled its latest lineup of foldable smartphones. However, this may not represent the entirety of the company’s plans for foldable devices in 2024.

Reports suggest Samsung is preparing to introduce a smartphone featuring a triple-folding design before the end of the year.

Confirmation from Samsung Executives

TM Roh, head of Samsung’s consumer electronics division, communicated to The Korea Times the company’s intention to launch such a device this year.

He stated that the focus is currently on refining the product and ensuring optimal usability. A final decision regarding the device’s name is pending, and will be made as the completion date approaches.

“We expect to be able to launch the tri-fold phone within this year,” Roh explained. “We are now focusing on perfecting the product and its usability, but we have not decided on its name.”

Production Readiness

Further corroborating this information, an anonymous executive within Samsung confirmed to Android Authority that a triple-fold device is prepared for mass production.

This indicates that the development process is nearing its conclusion, and a market release is becoming increasingly likely.

The potential launch of a triple-folding smartphone would further solidify Samsung’s position as a leader in the emerging foldable device market.
