Samsung Galaxy Buds Get Active Noise Cancellation - Entry Level!

Samsung Unveils the Galaxy Buds 2 with Active Noise Cancellation
In a remarkably active period for new product releases, Samsung has introduced the latest iteration of its wireless earbuds. The Galaxy Buds 2 now feature active noise canceling (ANC) technology, while maintaining the accessible price of $149.
Current Galaxy Buds Lineup
Currently, Samsung’s Galaxy Buds portfolio includes the Buds 2, priced at $149, the Buds Live at $170, and the premium Buds Pro at $200. The introduction of the Buds 2 noticeably narrows the gap in features between the more affordable and mid-range options.
When questioned about the revised product positioning, Samsung clarified to TechCrunch that design and sound quality are the primary differentiators between models.
The Buds Live were initially launched when ANC wasn’t standard for earbuds in their price category. Consequently, it’s anticipated that they may gradually be discontinued as newer models emerge.
Consistent Quality and Compact Design
Samsung’s earbuds have consistently delivered reliable performance. While they may not receive the same attention as those from Apple or Sony, the company continues to produce dependable audio products. There is no indication that the Buds 2 will deviate from this trend.
The Buds Pro remain the top-tier choice for users prioritizing superior sound quality and features like 360 audio.
Samsung states that the new Buds 2 represent their smallest and lightest earbuds to date. Both the earbuds themselves and their charging case are remarkably compact and possess a glossy finish.
They retain the signature ovular design, intended to comfortably sit within the wearer’s ear. While optimized for pairing with Samsung mobile devices, they are also compatible with any Bluetooth-enabled device.
Availability and Future Review
Preorders for the Buds 2 are currently being accepted, with shipping scheduled to begin on August 26. A comprehensive review of the new earbuds will be available shortly.
These new earbuds offer a compelling combination of features and affordability, further solidifying Samsung’s position in the wireless audio market.
