Pebble Introduces Innovative All-Electric Travel Trailer

Bingrui Yang established Pebble three years ago with the goal of integrating electrification, automation, and user-friendly design – akin to an iPhone experience – into the recreational vehicle industry.

The company unveiled its first production-ready, fully electric travel trailer at CES 2025 on Monday. This new model is designed to simplify towing and camping.

Pebble Flow: Features and Pricing

The Pebble Flow, a 25-foot all-electric RV, has a starting price of $109,500. Manufacturing will take place at the company’s new facility located in Fremont, California.

This price includes an electric travel trailer capable of accommodating up to four individuals. It features a standard 45 kWh lithium-ion phosphate battery, 1 kW of rooftop solar panels, both AC and DC charging capabilities, and regenerative charging that replenishes the battery during towing.

A configurator is now available on Pebble’s website, allowing prospective buyers to customize their RV, review specifications, and explore pricing options. A $500 refundable deposit is required to place an order.

Additional Models and Capabilities

Pebble is also offering a founders edition of the Pebble Flow, priced at $175,000. This version includes all available options and upgrades, along with the opportunity to choose a unique, limited-edition color.

An upgraded model, costing $135,000, incorporates a “magic pack” dual-motor drivetrain. This system provides self-propulsion to the travel trailer during towing, conserving the range of the towing vehicle.

The self-propulsion system also enables the Pebble Flow to move independently.

This capability is integrated with sensors and Nvidia’s Drive Orin platform, providing the necessary computing power for perception, planning, and control, resulting in several automated features designed to streamline towing and setup.

Automated Features and Ease of Use

A key feature is the remote control hitch, operable through a dedicated mobile application. Users can remotely maneuver the trailer into the desired position with a simple tap on the app.

Yang’s central aim is to make travel trailer towing and camping accessible to everyone.

“We want to create a world where home can be wherever you choose to go,” Yang stated in a video released at CES 2025. “A first-time RV user should be able to easily enjoy a trip with their family using a Pebble Flow.”

Design Refinements and Community Feedback

The production version of the Pebble Flow closely resembles the prototype showcased in October 2023, though several improvements have been implemented.

Kitchen cabinets now flip upwards instead of downwards, the entry door has been heightened, and additional windows have been added to the sides and rear.

Designers have optimized the shape for improved aerodynamics and incorporated a moonroof above the dining area. The caster wheel has been redesigned for increased durability and includes an auto-level feature for enhanced ground clearance. Four cameras have been integrated to support the automated functionalities.

These changes were largely informed by feedback from 3,000 members of the Pebble community, comprising preorder customers, RV enthusiasts, and particularly, “digital nomads.” This latter group is central to Yang’s vision for the Pebble Flow.

Production and Delivery

Pebble, having secured $55 million in funding from venture firms including Lightspeed, Vision+, and UpHonest Capital, anticipates beginning production early in the current year.

Initial deliveries are scheduled for spring 2025.
