Oxefit Launches $6,000 Home Strength Training System

OxeFit Expands into the Home Fitness Market

OxeFit began 2021 with a substantial $12.5 million Series A funding round and initial intentions to integrate sophisticated robotics and artificial intelligence into strength training.

This vision materialized in April with the launch of the XP1, a system geared towards commercial gyms, rehabilitation centers, and sports performance facilities. The XP1 boasts a 43-inch touchscreen and a maximum resistance of 500 pounds.

Introducing the XS1 for Home Use

This week marks OxeFit’s entry into the rapidly expanding home fitness sector with the XS1. This is a streamlined adaptation of their commercial product, directly competing with established systems like Tonal and Tempo.

The XS1 is equipped with a 32-inch touchscreen and provides a diverse selection of strength training exercises, adjustable up to 250 pounds of resistance.

A variety of workouts are available, encompassing traditional strength training, rowing, and pilates. These are facilitated through a range of compatible accessories.

oxefit enters the home market with $6,000 strength training system“The XS1 delivers the same comprehensive, full-body workouts found in professional training environments to the home,” stated Mohammed Shanableh, co-founder and CEO, in a press release. “It utilizes robotics and artificial intelligence to provide personalized insights and coaching, empowering users to achieve their fitness goals.”

Market Challenges and Pricing

The company faces increased competition within the home fitness landscape. Furthermore, industry-wide sales are experiencing a slowdown as traditional gyms reopen.

Competitors such as Peloton and Tempo have recently introduced entry-level products priced under $500. In contrast, the OxeFit XS1 is priced at $5,999 (originally reported as $4,700), alongside a $40 monthly subscription fee for the software.

This positions the XS1 at a higher price point than other touchscreen-based home fitness systems, which typically range from $2,000 to $3,000.

Strategic Marketing Approach

OxeFit is adopting a strategy focused on attracting professional athletes. They have partnered with prominent figures like Dak Prescott, Jalen Ramsey, and Matt Kemp to promote their platform.

These endorsements aim to highlight the system’s capabilities and appeal to a performance-driven audience.
