OnePlus 10 Pro: Battery and Snapdragon Details

OnePlus 10 Pro: A Gradual Reveal
OnePlus appears to be adopting a strategy similar to that of its co-founder, Carl Pei, with the launch of the 10 Pro. Comprehensive details about the upcoming device are no longer being released at once. Instead, the company is strategically disclosing information about its newest flagship incrementally.
Design and Initial Announcement
The first official look at the product’s design was revealed overnight through a launch announcement in China. Further key specifications are now being released. As previously reported, OnePlus has cancelled its unofficial presence at CES. Consequently, a large in-person event to showcase the device will not occur this week, which may be advantageous.
Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Processor
Following numerous reliable leaks, OnePlus has officially confirmed that the 10 Pro will be among the initial devices to feature Qualcomm’s latest flagship processor, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. This processor represents the successor to last year’s 888. This announcement was anticipated, as OnePlus, alongside its parent company Oppo, was listed as an early partner. However, Xiaomi unveiled the first handset supporting this chip before OnePlus.
Software and Display Specifications
The device will operate on Android 12 with OxygenOS. Recently, OxygenOS has been integrated with Oppo’s ColorOS, which has been demonstrated in beta form. The display will offer a smooth 120 Hz refresh rate.
Camera and Battery Details
The rear camera system is comprised of a triple-lens setup, featuring 48, 50, and eight-megapixel lenses. Additional details regarding the camera system’s specifics are expected in future announcements.
The OnePlus 10 Pro will be equipped with a substantial 5,000 mAh battery. It will also support fast charging capabilities, including 80W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. More information is anticipated shortly.
