Celonis Announces ServiceNow Partnership - Following IBM Collaboration

Celonis and ServiceNow Announce Strategic Partnership
Celonis, a prominent process mining company valued at $11 billion, has revealed a new collaborative partnership with ServiceNow.
According to Celonis co-founder and CEO Alexander Rinke, a longstanding relationship exists between himself and ServiceNow CEO Bill McDermott. He anticipates significant advantages for both organizations through this joint effort.
Synergizing Process Mining and Workflow Automation
The collaboration will focus on integrating ServiceNow’s recently launched low-code workflow automation platform with Celonis’ process mining capabilities.
Dave Wright, ServiceNow’s chief innovation officer, explained that combining Celonis’ process execution expertise with ServiceNow’s strengths in automation, machine learning, robotic process automation, and low-code application development will enhance workflows for their shared customer base.
This integration aims to provide customers with a deeper understanding of work patterns within their enterprises. The goal is to leverage these insights to accelerate digital innovation and optimize work processes.
Expanding Partnerships and Market Reach
This announcement follows a similar agreement made with IBM in April, further expanding Celonis’ network of large-scale partners.
Rinke believes the three companies – Celonis, ServiceNow, and IBM – can operate synergistically.
He stated that IBM Global Business Services (GBS), with its experience in both ServiceNow and Celonis, can now integrate both platforms. This will facilitate faster and more impactful enterprise process transformations.
The Value of Process Mining
Industry observers and investors recognize the potential of Celonis’ process mining software. It helps organizations analyze how work is executed and identify opportunities for improvement through automation.
Collaborating with larger organizations is expected to accelerate Celonis’ growth. Simultaneously, it provides these established companies with access to advanced software that complements their existing offerings.
ServiceNow's Automation Focus
ServiceNow has been actively expanding its automation capabilities in the past year. This includes the acquisition of RPA vendor Intellibot and the introduction of no-code workflow building tools.
Celonis achieved its $11 billion valuation in June following a $1 billion Series D funding round.
