Fall Detection Lamp - Nobi Smart Lamp

Predictably, this year's (online) CES event has unveiled a wealth of new smart home devices. This technology has consistently been a prominent feature at recent CES shows, and with many people spending more time at home, these innovations have become even more attractive.
Nobi distinguishes itself from other products not through extravagant capabilities, but through its focus on useful functionality. Developed by a Belgian company also called Nobi, this smart light is mounted on the ceiling and incorporates both motion sensors and infrared technology.
The upper portion of the light activates when the user sits up, while the lower portion illuminates the floor when they get to their feet. Notably, it’s capable of recognizing unusual movements and identifying falls. Should a fall occur, the integrated speaker will inquire, “Are you alright?”
If the user responds negatively, or with anything other than a denial, an alert is sent to a designated caregiver, potentially including an image, based on the configured preferences. The device is presently in the testing phase and is scheduled to become available for purchase before the end of the year. Customers have the option to purchase the lamp directly or to lease it with a subscription service.
