Netflix Gaming: New iOS and Android Titles Added

Netflix Expands Mobile Gaming Offerings
Towards the close of the previous year, Netflix launched its gaming service globally on both iOS and Android platforms. The initial selection featured two games centered around “Stranger Things” alongside several more casual gaming options.
Now, Netflix has broadened its game library with the addition of two new casual titles, available worldwide for users of both iOS and Android devices.
Arcanium: Rise of Akhan
The first of these new games is Arcanium: Rise of Akhan, an open-world, single-player card strategy game. Developed by Rogue Games, it uniquely blends the roguelike and deckbuilding genres.
Players are tasked with assembling a team of heroes and undertaking a quest to vanquish Akhan the Calamity. Their ultimate goal is to safeguard the world of Arzu from impending destruction. Should a member of the team fall to corruption, the game concludes.
Krispee Street
The second new game, Krispee Street, comes from Frosty Pop. This puzzle game challenges players to revitalize the world of Krispee by discovering hundreds of hidden characters and objects throughout its various levels.
The game draws inspiration from the popular webcomic of the same name, Krispee.
Current Game Lineup
Netflix’s gaming catalog now comprises a total of 12 titles. These include:
- Bowling Ballers
- Shooting Hoops
- Teeter Up
- Asphalt Xtreme
- Stranger Things 1984
- Stranger Things 3
- Card Blast
- Dominos Cafe
- Wonderputt Forever
- Knittens
Accessing Netflix Games
On Android, users can find the games within a dedicated “Games” tab in the Netflix app. Selecting a game redirects them to the Google Play Store for installation, similar to downloading any other application.
Once installed, these games can be launched directly from within the Netflix app or from the Android device’s home screen.
A comparable system is in place for iOS users, directing them to Apple’s App Store for downloads.
Future Gaming Plans
Looking ahead, Netflix intends to significantly expand its gaming catalog, incorporating a wider variety of games and genres.
This ambition was underscored by the acquisition of independent game developer Night School Studio in September. Known for narrative-focused games like Oxenfree, Night School Studio will play a key role in bolstering Netflix’s game offerings.
