Transitioning to a new computer running Windows 7 from an existing Windows XP system can seem complex when considering file and settings migration. Initiating the Transfer Process

Installing Windows Easy Transfer

You will be presented with choices for installing the latest version of Easy Transfer, either via a network or an external drive. Utilizing a flash drive is recommended; however, ensure it is freshly formatted, as this installs Easy Transfer as a portable application directly on the drive.

The next step involves launching Easy Transfer on the older computer and progressing through the wizard until a transfer key is generated.

Run Easy Transfer from your flash drive on the XP machine.

Completing the Transfer
