Windows Vista Explorer Title Fix - Show Window Titles

Restoring Titles to Windows Explorer

The rationale behind Microsoft's decision to remove titles from Explorer windows remains unclear. However, the current interface lacks this feature. While the address bar still displays the current folder path, an alternative solution exists.

This solution is presented as a lightweight utility known as AeroBar. Its sole function is to reinstate titles to your Explorer windows, dynamically reflecting the currently open folder.

How AeroBar Works

Using AeroBar is straightforward. Simply download the executable file and run it. If the added functionality is desirable, integrate the utility into your startup applications.

A demonstration of AeroBar in operation can be viewed here.

Stopping AeroBar

To disable AeroBar, utilize the Task Manager. Locate the Aerobar.exe process within the list of running applications and terminate it by selecting "End Process."

It's important to remember that not every utility needs to be installed. Focus on those that address specific usability concerns.

You can download AeroBar.exe directly from psscript.net.
