CES 2025 witnessed the rollable laptop evolve from a concept into a tangible product. The ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 is scheduled for release later this year, with a price point of $3,500. Its defining feature is a display that physically expands to a size of 16.7 inches.

The expansion isn’t instantaneous; the unrolling process is gradual and measured. Approximately 10 seconds are required for the display to transition from its compact state to its fully extended size.

This system dynamically adjusts its height or lateral position, functioning as a desktop counterpart to the Auto Twist AI PC showcased in September.

Significantly, the enclosure and base of this system are constructed from a blend of bamboo and corn, reflecting a commitment to more environmentally responsible hardware production. A wireless keyboard, capable of charging solely from the monitor’s ambient light, was also displayed alongside the system.
