Kabuto Smart Suitcase - Larger Version Released

Kabuto Unveils the Kabuto Trunk: A New Smart Suitcase
Kabuto, a French company specializing in the creation and distribution of intelligent luggage, is announcing the launch of its latest product today.
The newly released Kabuto Trunk represents the largest suitcase developed by the company to date.
Advanced Security Features
Unlike many other so-called smart suitcases that simply incorporate a power bank, the Kabuto Trunk offers enhanced security.
A fingerprint reader is integrated into the top of the suitcase, allowing for secure access.
Up to ten unique fingerprints can be stored within the system.
Operation mirrors that of a smartphone’s fingerprint scanner – a simple touch unlocks the suitcase.
For instances where fingerprint access isn't possible, such as when the battery is depleted or another individual requires access, a traditional key can be used to open the suitcase.
Design and Capacity
The Kabuto Trunk boasts a robust, hard-shell construction and provides a generous 95-liter capacity.
It is equipped with durable metal bearing wheels and genuine tires for smooth maneuverability.
Customers have a choice between two battery options: a 10,000mAh version and a higher-capacity 20,000mAh battery.
The selection involves a trade-off between weight and extended power, as larger batteries naturally add to the overall weight of the suitcase.
Expandable Backpack Accessory
An optional backpack is available for purchase, designed to magnetically attach to the suitcase.
This backpack is specifically engineered for travel convenience and features an expandable design.
Its volume can be doubled from 9 liters to 18 liters, providing increased storage flexibility.
Pricing and Availability
Currently, the suitcase is priced at $629, while the accompanying backpack costs $299.
The company intends to increase these prices following the conclusion of the current Kickstarter campaign.
Target Audience and Funding
Kabuto products are positioned as premium offerings and may not appeal to all consumers.
They generally represent a higher investment compared to conventional suitcases.
However, the design caters to travelers who prioritize organized packing and easy access to essential items.
Previously, the startup secured $1 million (€900,000) in funding from investors including Frédéric Mazzella, Michel & Augustin, Bpifrance, and Fabien Pierlot.
