June Smart Oven 3rd Generation: Pre-Order Now!

June is poised for growth in 2020. As more individuals find themselves cooking at home, and sometimes struggling with the process, this intelligent oven company has a significant chance to substantially increase its customer base.
According to a recent statement from CTO and co-founder Nikhil Bhogal, the increase in home cooking has prompted a reassessment of June’s cooking programs to unlock a wider range of culinary options beyond those typically offered by conventional ovens.
The company revealed its third-generation oven today, marking a major update two years after the previous release. Based on available information, this update appears to be largely incremental. Several enhancements have been made to the oven’s physical design, including a redesigned handle, protective rails around the heating elements, quieter cooling fans, and a new chipset offering improved wireless connectivity.
A key improvement in functionality is the ability to manage each of the six heating elements independently—a feature not available in the prior model, which controlled them in groups—resulting in more consistently cooked roasts. The software has also been updated, and the integrated AI camera can now determine the food’s placement within the oven for optimized cooking and recognize a vast array of food items.Despite the advancements, the oven remains a relatively expensive kitchen appliance, starting at $599. Essentially, the system functions as a sophisticated, smart toaster oven—though one with numerous cooking capabilities, including air frying, dehydrating, and broiling. Additional packages are available at higher price points. A $799 bundle includes an extended warranty and a one-year subscription to June’s premium service, while a $999 version adds a variety of accessories, such as air frying baskets, a pizza and grilling kit, and extra thermometers.
Pre-orders are being accepted starting today. The specific launch date has not yet been announced.
