Just ten days after Apollo Global finalized the $5 billion acquisition of Yahoo from Verizon, a new Chief Executive Officer has been designated for the group. Jim Lanzone, presently leading the dating application Tinder, will assume the role of CEO for the company – which also encompasses TechCrunch.

Concurrently, Renate Nyborg, previously responsible for Tinder’s business operations within the EMEA region, is stepping into the position of CEO at Tinder.

Earlier in his career, Lanzone was affiliated with IAC, the company that originally incubated and launched Tinder.
