TechCrunch+ – A New Name for Enhanced Membership
The name of our membership program is being updated to TechCrunch+. This change is primarily driven by the established reputation of TechCrunch as a leading source of insights within the startup world. We believe the value delivered to our subscribers represents a core component of our service, not simply an add-on.
Updates to TechCrunch+ are being implemented on the website today, with further enhancements scheduled for release in the coming weeks.
Benefits of TechCrunch+ Membership
TechCrunch+ is designed to provide startups with valuable guidance and analysis. By becoming a member, you will be able to:
- Gain insights into the operational strategies of thriving startups through in-depth interviews with founders and investors.
- Identify emerging trends and potential opportunities via market analysis, investor surveys, and specialized newsletters.
- Receive expert guidance on fundraising, scaling, and management from seasoned entrepreneurs.
- Refine your presentation skills through live weekly coaching sessions and Q&A, with recordings available for on-demand viewing.
- Enjoy a less intrusive browsing experience on TechCrunch with reduced advertising.
- Secure a 20% discount on tickets to TechCrunch events (exclusive to annual members).
You can join TechCrunch+ here.
Beyond the rebranding, we are also expanding the accessibility of our services to encompass a wider global reach. Our goal is to provide access in most major startup hubs worldwide within the next quarter, and ultimately, everywhere.
TechCrunch+ now offers a more diverse range of membership options compared to 2019. Discounts are available for students, military personnel, and government employees, alongside group membership opportunities.
Integration with TechCrunch Events
We have strengthened the connection between our membership program and our events. Our weekly video series, formerly known as Extra Crunch Live, has been rebranded as TechCrunch Live and is now freely accessible.
Notable sessions from this event series include:
- A detailed review of Pilot’s $60M Series C pitch deck by CEO Waseem Daher.
- An analysis of how Retail Zipline’s Series A pitch deck met all the criteria for Emergence Capital.
- A discussion on the art of pitching featuring Vise CEO Samir Vasavada and Sequoia’s Shaun Maguire.
The reception to these events has been encouraging, and we aim to extend the series to a broader audience. While attendance at TechCrunch Live will be free, video-on-demand (VOD) content will remain exclusive to subscribers. VOD from other TechCrunch events, such as Disrupt, will also remain behind the paywall.
We anticipate further integration and engagement opportunities with TechCrunch+ as in-person events resume, hopefully in 2022.
Our customer support email address has been updated to plus@techcrunch.com, and a dedicated Twitter account has been created here.
We extend our gratitude to our existing members for their continued support and are committed to ensuring a smooth transition.
A special acknowledgment goes to the TechCrunch team and the new TechCrunch+ staff, who have developed a product that continues to be relevant and essential in a rapidly evolving environment. We look forward to the next chapter of TechCrunch!
