Indeed CEO Chris Hyams Resigns - New Leadership Announced

Indeed CEO Chris Hyams Announces Departure

Chris Hyams, the current CEO of job platform Indeed, announced his resignation on Monday. Hisayuki Idekoba, CEO of Indeed’s parent company, Recruit, is set to reassume the CEO position at Indeed following a six-year absence from the role.

Transition and Future Role

Hyams will facilitate a smooth transition by serving as a board advisor throughout the current year. He initially joined the company in 2010, beginning his tenure as Vice President of Product.

Significant Growth Under Hyams’ Leadership

During Hyams’ leadership, Indeed experienced substantial growth. Currently, over 300 million job seekers utilize the platform on a monthly basis.

The company’s revenue has increased by a factor of 200. Notably, approximately 27 individuals are successfully hired through Indeed each minute, equating to roughly one hire every 2.2 seconds.

Impact on Job Seekers

Since the commencement of hire tracking, Indeed has facilitated employment for over 75 million people. Hyams acknowledges that this figure is likely a conservative estimate.

Statement from Recruit CEO

Hisayuki Idekoba expressed gratitude for Hyams’ contributions. He stated that Indeed’s evolution from a basic job search engine to a comprehensive talent marketplace would not have been possible without Hyams’ guidance.

“We are deeply thankful for his dedication and accomplishments,” Idekoba added in an official statement.
