Homa Games Secures $15 Million in Seed Funding

The French gaming company, Homa Games, has successfully completed a $15 million seed funding round. This investment was spearheaded by e.ventures and Idinvest Partners, demonstrating strong confidence in the company’s potential.

Core Technologies and Partnerships

Homa Games distinguishes itself through the development of proprietary technologies. These tools are designed to streamline the process of transforming a game concept into a successful application on the App Store.

The company operates on a dual model, collaborating with external game studios while also maintaining its own internal development teams.

Investor Participation and Company Metrics

Notable investors contributing to this funding round include OneRagtime, Jean-Marie Messier, Vladimir Lasocki, John Cheng, and Alexis Bonillo. The substantial investment reflects Homa Games’ already impressive performance.

Since its founding in 2018, games published by or through Homa Games have achieved a cumulative total of 250 million downloads.

Successful Game Titles and IP Collaboration

Homa Games has demonstrated success with a diverse portfolio of titles. These include Sky Roller, Idle World, and Tower Color.

Furthermore, the company has established a strategic IP partnership with Hasbro, resulting in the launch of a well-performing game centered around the Nerf brand.

Homa Games’ Suite of Optimization Products

The company has created a suite of three key products to enhance mobile game development:

  • Homa Lab: Provides market intelligence and testing tools for competitive analysis.
  • Homa Belly: An SDK facilitating game iteration and management.
  • Homa Data: Optimizes revenue generation through data-driven insights for both in-app purchases and advertising.

Publisher Services for Third-Party Developers

Independent developers have the opportunity to submit their games to Homa Games for publishing consideration. A revenue-sharing agreement is established between both parties upon acceptance.

Expansion Through Acquisition and Internal Teams

In addition to its partnership model, Homa Games has expanded its capabilities through the acquisition of IRL Team, located in Toulouse.

The company also maintains in-house game development teams in Skopje, Lisbon, and Paris, bringing the total workforce to 80 employees.

Board Appointments

Benoist Grossmann of Idinvest Partners and Jonathan Userovici from e.ventures will both be joining the company’s board of directors.
