Windows 8.1: View Multiple Time Zones in System Tray

Expanding Time Zone Visibility in Windows
The Outlook calendar application allows for the inclusion of a secondary time zone alongside your local time. However, Outlook’s display is limited to a maximum of two time zones simultaneously.
For individuals who regularly collaborate with contacts across numerous time zones, this limitation can prove restrictive. Fortunately, Windows offers a workaround. The system tray clock can be configured to showcase up to three distinct time zones.
Accessing Time and Date Settings
To begin, click on the clock located on the right side of the system tray within the Taskbar. This action will bring up the clock and calendar popup window.
Within this popup, select the “Change date and time settings” link positioned at the bottom of the window.
Configuring the Primary Time Zone
The “Date and Time” dialog box will then appear. Initially, the primary clock is set to reflect your current system time zone.
Should you wish to display alternative time zones on the main clock, you can modify this setting by clicking the “Change time zone” option.
Selecting a New Time Zone
A “Time Zone Settings” dialog box will open. From the “Time zone” drop-down menu, choose the specific time zone you want to view.
Ensure the “Automatically adjust clock for Daylight Saving Time” check box is selected if you desire automatic adjustments for Daylight Saving Time. Then, click “OK” to save your changes and close the dialog box.
Adding Additional Clocks
To display further clocks representing different time zones, navigate to the “Additional Clocks” tab.
To add a clock, check the first “Show this clock” box and enter a descriptive name above the clock to indicate the time zone it represents.
Note: The primary clock, when accessed through the system tray, does not display a customizable label.
Finalizing Clock Settings
Select the desired time zone for the added clock from the “Select time zone” drop-down list.
If you require a third clock, check the second “Show this clock” box, input a label in the provided field, and select the corresponding time zone from the drop-down list. Click “OK” to confirm your selections and close the “Date and Time” dialog box.
Viewing Multiple Time Zones
Clicking on the system tray clock will now display all three configured clocks, as illustrated earlier.
A quick overview of the times can be obtained by simply hovering your mouse cursor over the system tray clock. A popup window will then appear, showing the date and times in a digital format.
The primary clock is always listed first and is designated as “Local time,” a label that cannot be altered.
