How to Remove Apps from Your Apple Watch

Managing App Space on Your Apple Watch
If your Apple Watch’s Home screen is becoming cluttered with numerous applications, you might be seeking a method to declutter it. Removing infrequently utilized apps from your watch is easily achievable through a couple of different procedures.
Removing Apps Directly from Your Watch
One method involves directly removing apps from your watch’s Home screen. Access the Home screen by pressing the digital crown and then navigate to locate the app you wish to remove.
Gently tap and hold (do not firmly press) the app’s icon. This action will initiate editing mode on the Home screen.
Once in editing mode, a small “x” button will appear on the upper-left corner of each app icon that is eligible for removal. Select the “x” button corresponding to the app you intend to delete.
A confirmation prompt will appear, requesting verification of your deletion choice. Tap “Delete App” to proceed.
It’s important to note that deleting an app only removes it from your watch; the application remains installed on your paired iPhone.
After deletion, the app icons will remain in editing mode. You can either tap the “x” on another app or press the digital crown to exit editing mode.
The watch does not automatically reorganize the remaining app icons. You can manually rearrange them to your preferred layout on the Home screen.
Removing Apps via the Watch App on Your iPhone
Alternatively, if you find the on-watch “x” buttons difficult to tap, you can manage apps through the Watch app on your iPhone. Begin by locating and tapping the “Watch” app icon on your iPhone’s Home screen.
Ensure you are on the “My Watch” screen. If not, tap the “My Watch” icon located at the bottom of the screen.
Scroll through the list of installed apps within the “My Watch” screen until you find the app you wish to remove, then tap on it.
When an app is installed on your watch, the “Show App on Apple Watch” toggle will be green and positioned to the right. Tap this toggle to remove the app from your watch.
A brief message will appear during the uninstallation process, and the toggle will switch to the left and turn black.
Reinstalling Removed Apps
Should you wish to reinstall a previously removed app, you must do so through the Watch app on your iPhone. Direct app installation on the Apple Watch itself is not supported.
Important Note: Certain built-in apps, such as Settings, Maps, Weather, Alarms, Timers, Stopwatch, and the Time display, cannot be removed from your Apple Watch.
