Disable Apple Watch Notifications: A Complete Guide

Managing Apple Watch Activity Notifications

Your Apple Watch, by default, provides regular reminders to stand, informs you of achieved goals, and delivers a weekly overview of your activity levels. If these notifications become disruptive, they can be easily deactivated.

Understanding Activity Notifications

The Activity app on your Apple Watch offers valuable insights into your daily movement. However, some users may prefer to monitor their progress independently, without constant alerts. Similarly, frequent stand reminders can be unwelcome during focused work periods.

It’s possible to disable activity notifications, yet some updates may still appear. This guide will detail how to comprehensively turn off all activity-related notifications on your Apple Watch.

Disabling Notifications: A Step-by-Step Guide

Begin by locating and tapping the Watch app icon on the Home screen of your iPhone.

Ensure you are on the “My Watch” screen. The “My Watch” icon, situated at the bottom of the screen, should be highlighted in orange.

Scroll down within the “My Watch” screen and select “Activity”.

To temporarily silence reminders for the current day, toggle the “Mute Reminders for Today” slider. However, for a complete deactivation of all activity notifications, continue further down the screen.

Disable “Stand Reminders” by toggling its corresponding slider. Remember, sliders will appear black and white when deactivated.

A commonly overlooked setting is “Progress Updates”. Currently set to “Every 4 hours”, tap this option to modify it.

Within the “Progress Updates” screen, select “None” to completely disable these updates. Then, navigate back to the main Activity screen by tapping “Activity” in the upper-left corner.

To prevent notifications upon reaching your daily Move, Exercise, and Stand goals, toggle off the “Goal Completions” slider. Similarly, disable the “Achievements” slider to avoid alerts for milestones or personal bests.

Finally, turn off the “Weekly Summary” notification by toggling its respective slider.

Enjoying a Notification-Free Experience

With these settings adjusted, you will no longer receive any activity-related notifications from your Apple Watch. While silencing these alerts, remember to maintain a healthy and active lifestyle!
