Pin Settings to Start Menu in Windows 10 - Easy Guide

Pinning Settings to the Windows 10 Start Menu

If you frequently navigate to the same settings within Windows 10, you can streamline your workflow. Adding these settings as tiles to the Start menu provides quick and convenient access.

Accessing the Settings Menu

To begin pinning a settings screen, first open the Start menu. Then, select “Settings” from the available options.

Next, choose a settings category, for example, “Update & Security”.

Pinning Specific Settings

Within each settings category, a list of subcategories will be displayed on the left-hand side. To add a particular setting to the Start menu, right-click on its name in the list.

From the context menu that appears, select the “Pin to Start” option.

The selected setting will then be added to the bottom of the tile arrangement on the right side of the Start menu, alongside your installed applications.

Changes to Pinning Functionality

It’s worth noting that Microsoft has updated the method for pinning settings to the Start menu in recent versions of Windows 10. Previously, a thumbtack icon was present next to the search box on each settings screen, enabling direct pinning.

Further Customization

Beyond pinning settings, the Start menu offers a range of other customization options.

These allow you to tailor the menu to your specific needs and preferences.
