Jailbreaking a 2nd Generation Apple TV: A Guide
To successfully jailbreak your device, certain components are required.
- A 2nd generation Apple TV (the black model is necessary).
- A micro USB cable for connection.
- Seas0nPass software, compatible with Windows or OS X (links are provided below).
- The most recent iteration of iTunes software.
Begin by disconnecting any other iOS devices currently linked to your computer. Subsequently, extract the contents of the Seas0nPass .zip archive and launch the application.

Select the "Create IPSW" option. The program will then automatically download the newest Apple TV software directly from Apple. It will decrypt the package, apply the jailbreak, and repackage the installer.

Upon completion of the download, connect your Apple TV to your computer using the microUSB cable, but do not connect the power adapter at this stage. Observe the light on the front of the Apple TV; when it begins to flash repeatedly, aim your Apple TV remote at the device.
Simultaneously press and hold the Menu and Play/Pause buttons on the remote for a duration of seven seconds.
Windows may require time to download and install updated drivers for the Apple TV to function correctly in restore mode. Allow a few minutes for the system to detect the device.

Once the device is recognized, a confirmation screen will appear, indicating a successful connection, alongside a message stating that the upload process is underway.

iTunes will launch automatically and initiate the device restoration process.
Should iTunes fail to start automatically, wait a short period and manually launch the software. The remainder of the restoration should then proceed without intervention.

After the restoration is finished, you can disconnect the USB cable. Then, reconnect the Apple TV to your television using both the power adapter and an HDMI cable.

You will be guided through the initial Apple TV setup, including language selection. Upon complete booting, a temporary FireCore logo displayed in the bottom right corner of the screen confirms a successful jailbreak.

Download Seas0nPass.
