Get Metro Start Menu & Button in Windows 8 - Tutorial

Restoring the Start Button in Windows 8
The release of Windows 8 introduced a redesigned Start Screen, but notably removed the traditional Start Button. This change proved disruptive for some users. Fortunately, it is possible to reinstate a Start button that accesses the new Metro-style Start menu.
It’s also worth noting that reverting to the classic Windows 7-style Start Menu is an available option for those who prefer it.
Obtaining Start8
To acquire a complimentary copy of Start8, navigate to the designated webpage. You will be prompted to provide your email address and then click the "Sign Up" button to proceed.

Following the processing of your email submission, a download link will be provided to you.

Installation Process
The installation of Start8 is straightforward, following a typical "next, next, finish" sequence. The process is designed to be user-friendly and requires minimal technical expertise.

Upon completion of the installation, the familiar Start Orb will be restored to your taskbar.

The New Metro-Style Menu
However, clicking this restored Start button will now launch an updated, Metro-style Start Menu. This provides a modern interface while retaining the functionality of a traditional Start Menu.

Testing and Observations
During evaluation, some inconsistencies were observed in the program’s behavior, particularly concerning the Windows keyboard shortcut functionality. Despite these minor issues, Start8 represents a valuable enhancement to the Windows 8 taskbar experience.
