Allow Windows 10 User to Change Time & Date - Guide

Granting Standard Users Time and Date Modification Rights in Windows 10
Typically, only accounts possessing administrator privileges within Windows 10 are permitted to alter system time and date configurations. However, for installations of Windows 10 Professional or Enterprise, it is possible to utilize Group Policy to extend this capability to standard user accounts.
Utilizing Group Policy
If you are operating Windows 10 Pro or Enterprise, the necessary tools are readily available. It's important to recognize that Group Policy is a robust system administration feature. Therefore, familiarizing yourself with its functionalities is advisable before making changes.
Furthermore, if your computer is connected to a corporate network, it is prudent to consult with your system administrator beforehand. Domain-joined computers are often subject to domain-level group policies that may override any local configurations you attempt to implement.
Accessing the Group Policy Editor
Begin by logging in with an administrator account. Then, open the Group Policy Editor by pressing the Start button, typing "gpedit.msc", and subsequently pressing Enter.
Within the Group Policy window, navigate through the left-hand pane to the following path: Computer Configuration > Windows Settings > Security Settings > Local Policies > User Rights Assignments. Locate the "Change the system time" setting in the right pane and double-click it to open its properties.
Configuring User Permissions
The "Local Security Setting" tab of the properties window initially displays only the Administrators and LOCAL SERVICE groups as having permission to modify the system time.
Click the "Add User or Group" button to extend these permissions.
Windows, by default, does not display group names during searches. To rectify this, click the "Object Types" button.
In the Object Types window, check the box next to "Groups" to enable group searching, then click OK.
In the "Enter the object names to select" field, type "Users" and then click the "Check Names" button. Windows will validate the input and populate the field with the complete group name (e.g., <yourPCname>\Users).
Once the group name is verified, click OK.
The properties window for the system time setting will now reflect the addition of the Users group to the list of authorized entities.
Click OK to save the changes and return to the Group Policy Editor.
Testing and Reverting Changes
The configuration process is now complete. You can close the Group Policy Editor.
To verify the new settings, log in with a standard user account and attempt to modify the time or date. Should you wish to revoke these permissions in the future, simply return to the "Change the system time" setting within the Group Policy Editor and remove the Users group from the permissions list.
