Safari Bookmarks on iPhone: How to Add & Manage

Syncing Bookmarks Between Devices with iCloud
iCloud facilitates the synchronization of all Safari bookmarks created on your Mac with your iPhone or iPad, and conversely. However, the process of adding and managing bookmarks on an iPhone differs somewhat from the experience on a Mac.
The method for adding bookmarks on your iPhone isn't immediately intuitive. Users often initially search through existing bookmarks before discovering the correct procedure. To add a bookmark, the Share icon must be selected, as illustrated below.
Upon opening the Share menu, you’ll gain the ability to save the current webpage as a bookmark or add it to your Favorites. Alternatively, you can add the site to your reading list for later, offline access, or even pin it directly to your Home Screen.
Managing Existing Bookmarks
Once you are familiar with adding bookmarks, you can also rename them, organize them into folders, or remove them as needed.
To manage your Safari bookmarks on your iPhone or iPad, begin by tapping the Bookmarks icon located along the bottom of the screen.
Within the bookmarks screen, tap the "Edit" button situated in the bottom-right corner.
Entering edit mode reveals a "-" symbol next to each bookmark or folder. Tapping this symbol allows you to delete unwanted items.
Select the "New Folder" link to create a new folder for organizing your bookmarks. Assign a descriptive title to the folder and specify its location within your bookmark hierarchy using the "Location" option.
Tapping "Location" expands your existing bookmarks structure, enabling you to choose the desired parent folder for the new folder.
To modify an existing bookmark, simply tap it while in edit mode. This will open the "Edit Bookmark" screen, where you can update the name, correct any URL errors, and select a new location for the bookmark, similar to creating new folders.
While in edit mode, you'll notice three gray bars appearing along the right edge of each bookmark or folder. These bars allow you to rearrange the order of your bookmarks. Press and hold these bars, then drag to reposition items as desired.
As demonstrated, managing bookmarks and bookmark folders within Safari on iOS is a straightforward process. With a little practice, you can organize your bookmarks to perfectly suit your needs.
