Streamlining Access to Administrative Tools
For those who frequently utilize system administration functions or operate as power users, the Administrative Tools are essential. This guide details a method for expediting access to these tools by integrating them directly into the Start Menu.
Typically, reaching Administrative Tools necessitates navigating through the Control Panel. This process can prove inefficient and frustrating for users who require frequent access.
Adding Administrative Tools to the Start Menu
Begin by right-clicking the Start Menu icon and selecting “Properties” from the context menu.
Within the “Taskbar and Start Menu Properties” window, click on the “Customize” button.
Scroll down the list of options until you locate “System administrative tools”. Then, select both “Display on the All Programs menu” and “Display on the Start menu”.
Confirm your changes by clicking “Ok” to close the current window and any remaining open screens.
Upon clicking the Start Menu, you will now find “Administrative Tools” listed, providing direct access to its various settings and features.
A desktop shortcut can be created by right-clicking the newly added “Administrative Tools” button within the Start Menu and dragging it to your desktop. Alternatively, this can be accomplished through the Control Panel.
These straightforward adjustments will significantly improve your efficiency when working with the resources found within the Administrative Tools section.
