Samsung Unveils New Galaxy Book Pro Laptops

After the typical period of pre-release information surfacing, Samsung has officially revealed its latest laptop models. The Galaxy Book Pro and Galaxy Book Pro 360 expand the company’s portfolio of devices, targeting the premium segment of the market.

Bridging PC and Mobile Productivity

These Windows machines represent Samsung’s continued effort to integrate the functionality of its Galaxy PCs with its mobile devices. This integration includes a suite of cross-device software solutions.

Notably, the S-Pen is included with the Pro 360 model. The 360’s design allows the lid to rotate fully, enabling use as a digital writing surface.

Design and Display Features

A key highlight of the new series is its exceptionally thin and lightweight construction. The Pro measures 11.2 millimeters in thickness, while the Pro 360 is 11.9 millimeters.

Both laptops are available with either a 13.3-inch or 15.6-inch Super AMOLED display, featuring a 1920 x 1080 resolution.

Performance Specifications

Powering these devices are 11th-generation Intel Core i5 or i7 processors. They are paired with 8 or 16GB of RAM, and storage options extend up to 1TB (with a 512GB maximum for the Pro model).

Connectivity options include LTE and 5G versions, contingent on regional availability. The battery life is estimated to be “all-day,” and both models support 65W fast charging via USB-C.

Enhanced User Experience

Improvements have been made to the keyboard mechanism compared to previous generations. Furthermore, the trackpad has been enlarged by 23%.

Availability and Pricing

Pre-orders for the systems begin today, with shipping scheduled to commence on May 14th. Pricing starts at $1,000 for the 13-inch Pro and $1,100 for the 15-inch Pro.

The Galaxy Book Pro 360 models are priced starting at $1,200 for the 13-inch version and $1,300 for the 15-inch version.
