Tesla Tequila by Elon Musk: Price and Details

Teslaquila, the alcoholic beverage carrying the Tesla brand name, which initially gained attention through CEO Elon Musk’s playful April Fool’s Day post concerning the company’s financial status, is now available for purchase.
The automotive manufacturer currently features Tesla Tequila – a slight variation from the original Teslaquila name – on its official website. This tequila is characterized as a “limited-production, high-quality 100% de agave tequila añejo, crafted using agaves sourced responsibly from both highland and lowland regions.” It is presented in a uniquely designed bottle, handblown from glass and shaped like the symbol for an electric charge. The price point for this offering is $250.
The trend of celebrities launching tequila brands is well-established and frequently proves highly profitable. For instance, Casamigos, the tequila brand co-created by George Clooney, was purchased by Diageo in a transaction that assessed the company’s value at as much as $1 billion. Tesla Tequila may represent the first instance of a liquor being directly sold by an automobile manufacturer. Production of the tequila is handled by Nosotros Tequila, as stated by the company.
The tequila was initially revealed in April 2018 when Musk shared an image on social media depicting himself seemingly asleep next to a Tesla Model 3, surrounded by bottles labeled “Teslaquilla,” with visible signs suggesting he had been crying. In the image, Musk is holding a sign that intentionally misspelled “bankrupt.”
Subsequently, later in the same year, Tesla submitted a request to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office to register “Teslaquila” as a trademark.
