Templafy Raises $60M for B2B SaaS Document Creation Platform

Templafy Secures $60 Million in Series D Funding
Templafy, a B2B SaaS company originating in Denmark and specializing in business document creation, has successfully closed a $60 million Series D funding round. The investment was spearheaded by Blue Cloud Ventures.
Existing investors demonstrated continued confidence by participating in this round, which included Insight Partners, Seed Capital, Dawn Capital, and Damgaard Company. This latest funding brings Templafy’s total raised capital to $125 million.
Distinguishing Templafy from Competitors
While some overlap exists with platforms like PandaDoc, Templafy’s founder, Christian Lund, emphasizes a key differentiator. The platform is designed with a strong focus on enterprise-level needs.
According to Lund, Templafy’s strength lies in its versatility. It empowers employees to create a wide range of business documents and content, directly within the applications they already utilize.
These applications can include familiar tools such as Microsoft Office or Google Workspace, but also extend to platforms like Salesforce, Microsoft Teams, and Slack. This contrasts with competitors who often concentrate on specific use cases, like sales materials.
Addressing the Problem of Disconnected Content
Blue Cloud Ventures’ managing partner, Mir Arif, highlighted the core issue Templafy addresses: fragmented content within organizations.
Arif explained that while the concept of “disconnected content” may be relatively new, the underlying problem is long-standing. When company content isn’t seamlessly integrated into employees’ workflows, it can lead to significant challenges.
These challenges include compliance risks, reduced operational efficiency, and ultimately, a detrimental effect on overall business performance.
Arif further stated that Templafy’s ambition to resolve disconnected content across all enterprises, combined with a favorable market position, a capable team, and a robust platform, makes it an ideal investment partner.
Recent Funding History
Templafy’s previous Series C funding round, which totaled $25 million, was completed just 14 months prior to this latest announcement.
