Connectify Pro is capable of automatically identifying the optimal internet connection for sharing. Furthermore, it supports sharing internet access from a USB dongle or a 3G/4G card via a Wi-Fi connection.
Access to advanced configurations, including network encryption and firewall management, is found within the Advanced Settings menu. It’s possible to restrict internet access, allowing only local file sharing. Alternatively, access to the local network can be blocked, enabling internet connection sharing without exposing local network resources.

Establishing Device Connections
Once your hotspot is active, connection from devices equipped with Wi-Fi capability is possible. All devices currently linked to the hotspot are displayed within the Clients tab.

A right-click on any listed device allows you to revoke either Internet access or access to the local network, a feature available even for Connectify Lite users.
Furthermore, the Rename function enables you to assign a custom name to a device if Connectify is unable to automatically identify it appropriately.

Simplified Wi-Fi File Transfers via Drag-and-Drop
Connectify version 3.3 introduces a streamlined method for Wi-Fi file sharing: a simple drag-and-drop interface. Files can be transferred by dragging them onto a device displayed in the Clients pane within Connectify. The receiving device will then be asked to authorize or decline the incoming file.
This feature supports transfers of any file size. However, users of Connectify Lite are restricted to a single file transfer on a daily basis.
Should the target device not have Connectify installed, a link to a localized webpage will be generated. This webpage, hosted on your computer, allows the recipient to download the file directly.
The webpage also includes a download link for Connectify itself, facilitating easier file transfers in subsequent instances.
This functionality extends to devices that aren't currently connected to a Wi-Fi network. When Connectify is running on a desktop, files can be exchanged with other devices listed in the Connectify Peers section of the Clients pane.
Expanding Your Wi-Fi Coverage
Connectify offers the capability to operate as a Wi-Fi extender, effectively increasing the reach of your existing wireless network. This functionality allows you to broaden Wi-Fi access throughout a larger structure, or even extend it to outdoor areas like a backyard.
Initiate the process by accessing the Connectify menu, navigating to Easy Setup, and selecting the Clone Wi-Fi Settings feature.
Utilizing the Repeater Function
By choosing the Wi-Fi network you wish to amplify, Connectify will operate as a repeater. It will then extend the signal rather than establishing a completely new hotspot.
It’s important to note that this particular feature is exclusively available to users of Connectify Pro.
