Clubhouse Introduces Replay: Recording for Audio Rooms
A new capability is now available for Clubhouse hosts and moderators. The platform is launching a new feature across both its iOS and Android applications, enabling creators to record audio rooms. This allows individuals who were unable to attend the live session to access the content at a later time.
The feature, known as Replay, permits public rooms to be recorded during the event, with the recordings then being stored on either a club’s profile or the user’s profile. Recordings can also be downloaded for external sharing.
Sharing Replays Beyond Clubhouse
Hosts are now able to distribute room recordings beyond the Clubhouse platform. This includes options such as sharing as a podcast, creating clips for YouTube, posting to Instagram Stories, or utilizing TikTok videos. The versatility of sharing is greatly expanded.

Enhanced Replay Functionality
The rollout of Replay also integrates with pinned links, a previously released feature that allows moderators to highlight a relevant link at the top of the room. Listeners of recorded rooms will have the ability to skip to the next speaker.
Playback speed options are also included, allowing for 1.5x or 2x speed. Users can pause the recording and create 30-second clips from the audio.
Analytics and User Engagement
Clubhouse creators can now view data on who has listened to a room’s Replay after the live session concludes. This facilitates connection with users who missed the initial broadcast.
Beginning next week, Replays will be integrated into Clubhouse’s existing discovery tools, including the search function. A new “total room count” feature is also being introduced, providing hosts with more comprehensive analytics regarding cumulative listener numbers.
