Circular Ring 2 with ECG & Afib Detection Unveiled at CES 2025

Circular Unveils Next-Generation Ring 2 with Advanced Health Monitoring
Circular, a leading manufacturer of smart rings, has announced the release of its Ring 2. This next-generation wearable was revealed at CES 2025, which took place on Sunday in Las Vegas.
ECG and AFib Detection Capabilities
A key feature of the Ring 2 is its integrated ECG (electrocardiogram) functionality. It also includes AFib (atrial fibrillation) detection, providing users with the ability to actively monitor their cardiac health.
The device utilizes an advanced PPG (photoplethysmogram) sensor to capture a single-lead ECG. This technology records the electrical impulses of the heart by measuring fluctuations in blood flow through light emission.
Enhanced Features and Design
Compared to the previous model, the Ring 2 boasts several improvements. These include a significantly extended battery life, now promising up to eight days of use on a single charge.
The ring also incorporates upgraded sensors for more precise tracking of vital health metrics. Detailed sleep analysis is among the enhanced capabilities offered.
Furthermore, Circular has redesigned its companion application. This redesign aims to deliver a more streamlined and intuitive user experience.
Market Positioning and Availability
This launch occurs three years after Circular first entered the smart ring market, positioning itself as a competitor to established brands like Oura and Ultrahuman.
According to Circular CEO Amaury Kosman, “The Circular Ring 2 represents a complete rethinking of the smart ring concept.” He further stated that it blends sophisticated health technology with a durable and aesthetically pleasing design.
The Ring 2 will be offered in four distinct finishes: gold, silver, black, and rose gold. A new Digital Ring Sizing feature is also available via smartphone, assisting customers in selecting the correct size before purchase.
Global Launch Details
The Circular Ring 2 is scheduled to become available for purchase in February or March, with a retail price of $380.
Initial launch countries will include the United States, the United Kingdom, and France. Further expansion to other markets is anticipated.
