CES 2025: Key Announcements from the First Day

Tuesday focused on the latest innovations showcased on the exhibition floor. Our TechCrunch team is reporting live from the event, providing updates on all the significant announcements.
The following is a compilation of the most noteworthy reveals from the initial day of CES.
Automotive Industry Updates from Honda, BMW, and Uber
Honda presented the 0 SUV, a mid-size SUV prototype intended to complement the 0 Saloon previously unveiled at last year’s event. The production model of the SUV is scheduled for release in North America during the first six months of 2026, with subsequent availability in other global markets.
Uber will integrate Nvidia’s advanced generative world model simulation tool, Cosmos, alongside its cloud-based AI supercomputing infrastructure to facilitate the advancement of autonomous vehicle technology. Specific details regarding Uber’s implementation of these Nvidia tools remain undisclosed at this time.
BMW is introducing a redesigned in-car user interface. A central feature of this update is a customizable widget-based system, allowing users to personalize the dashboard layout – even projecting information onto the car’s windshield. This projection utilizes screens embedded within the dashboard, reflecting onto a specially treated section of the windshield glass.
Innovative Gaming Peripherals and Consoles
Acer demonstrated two new gaming handheld devices at CES 2025, with one particularly standing out. The Nitro Blaze 11 features a remarkably large 10.95-inch display, extending the boundaries of conventional gaming handheld dimensions. Weighing over 1kg (2.3 pounds), the device is comparable in size to the 11-inch iPad Air and has a weight equivalent to two stacked iPad Airs.
Razer unveiled a concept gaming chair equipped with integrated heating and cooling functionalities. The chair incorporates a self-regulating heating system capable of reaching temperatures up to 86 degrees Fahrenheit, ensuring comfort during extended gaming sessions.
The Resurgence of Radio Shack
Radio Shack is making a return to CES following a period of challenges for traditional brick-and-mortar electronics retailers. Following its acquisition of global rights in 2023 by Unicomer Group, RadioShack branding is now being applied to a range of consumer electronics, including a Bluetooth speaker with RGB lighting, a gaming chair, headphones, and a projector.
A Wide Array of Health and Fitness Products
Numerous products and advancements in the health and wellness sector were exhibited on the show floor.
Kombu introduced The Fermenstation, an at-home kombucha brewing system. The company aims to simplify the kombucha brewing process for users, addressing common challenges associated with DIY brewing.
Segway launched the Xyber and the Xafari e-bikes. These new models are engineered to enhance rider safety, convenience, and accessibility. Pre-orders are currently being accepted, with deliveries anticipated in February.
