TechCrunch Launches European Venture Capital Investor Survey

TechCrunch is initiating a comprehensive project focused on surveying venture capital investors across Europe, alongside an assessment of the cities where they operate.

The upcoming survey targeting investors in Zagreb aims to gauge Croatia’s current standing and analyze the shifts occurring within the investment landscape due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Survey Objectives

We are interested in understanding the evolution of the Croatian startup ecosystem, the impact of COVID-19 on the technology sector, and how investor perspectives are changing moving forward.

This survey is exclusively for investors; only investor responses will be considered. Multiple partners from a single firm are encouraged to participate. (Please refrain from resubmitting if you have already completed the survey.)

The questionnaire consists of concise questions, though more detailed responses are welcomed and appreciated.

Access the survey at this link.

Contributing investors will be prominently featured in the final survey results, with links to their respective firms and professional profiles.

Key Areas of Inquiry

We seek insights into several crucial areas. Questions include: What emerging trends are generating the most excitement? What innovative startup concept remains unrealized? Where do you identify untapped potential? What criteria are paramount in your next investment decision? How is your regional ecosystem performing? And how has the COVID-19 pandemic reshaped your investment approach?

This survey is part of a larger initiative designed to connect founders with suitable investors.

As an example, the recent survey of the London investment scene is available for review.

Participation for Non-Croatian Investors

Even if you are not based in Croatia, you are welcome to participate! Any European venture capital investor can contribute, as we anticipate extending the survey to other countries in the near future. The collected data will also inform future surveys focused on specific industry verticals.

The survey encompasses nearly all countries within the Union for the Mediterranean region. Simply locate your country and city within the survey and participate (if you are a venture capital investor).

Thank you for your time and valuable input. For any inquiries, please contact mike@techcrunch.com.

(Please be aware that completing the survey does not guarantee inclusion in the final published report.)
