calling lisbon vcs: be featured in the great techcrunch survey of european vc

TechCrunch is initiating a significant new undertaking: a comprehensive survey of leading venture capital investors throughout Europe.

Our forthcoming survey focusing on VCs in Lisbon aims to assess the current state of the city’s investment landscape and understand the shifts occurring among investors as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. (Please disregard this invitation if you have already completed the survey).

We are interested in gaining insights into the development of Lisbon’s startup community, the effects of COVID-19 on the technology industry, and how your investment perspectives are evolving.

This survey is specifically designed for investors, and only responses from VC investors will be considered. Multiple individuals from the same investment firm are encouraged to participate.

The questionnaire consists of concise questions, though more detailed responses are welcomed and appreciated.

The survey can be accessed here.

Contributing investors will be highlighted in the published survey results, with links provided to their respective firms and professional profiles.

What information are we seeking? The survey includes questions such as:

  • What emerging trends are generating the most enthusiasm?
  • What type of startup would you like to see developed?
  • What potential opportunities are currently being underestimated?
  • What key characteristics are you prioritizing in your next investment?
  • How is the investment environment in your region performing?
  • In what ways has COVID-19 altered your investment approach?

This survey is part of a larger initiative to assist entrepreneurs in identifying suitable investors.

As an illustration, here is our recent survey of investors in London.

Are you not located in Lisbon but still wish to contribute? Or are you based elsewhere in the country? That’s perfectly acceptable! Any European VC investor is welcome to complete the survey, as we anticipate extending the invitation to other cities soon. The collected data will also inform future surveys focused on specific industry sectors.

The survey encompasses nearly all countries across the European continent (including those outside the EU), so please locate your country and city within the survey and participate (if you are a venture capital investor).

We appreciate your time and input. For any inquiries, please contact mike@techcrunch.com.
