Upon initial installation of Subsonic on the designated "server" PC, an icon will appear in the taskbar, indicating its operation.

A right-click on this icon provides access to the “Subsonic Control Panel”, allowing for quick configuration of the streaming service. This panel also serves as the point for starting and stopping the service.

Navigate to the "Settings" tab to define the server port and the directory from which Subsonic will operate.

Provide a name for the folder, specify the local path to the music directory, and ensure it is enabled. Saving these settings makes the contained music files accessible to all users on your Wi-Fi network. Existing playlists, like those from iTunes, can be integrated by pointing Subsonic to their respective folders under the "General" settings.

Subsonic allows you to determine how users stream music to their devices. Options include launching their preferred music players or utilizing the integrated Jukebox player within Subsonic.

The integrated Jukebox player offers convenience, as it eliminates the need for a local player – users can simply log in and play music directly through the Subsonic interface.

Playback is initiated by clicking the "Play" button in the embedded player, streaming the files directly to their PC or mobile device.

A Guest account can be established for visitors with Wi-Fi enabled laptops or mobile devices. Subsonic’s multi-platform support, including dedicated apps for Android, iPhone, and Windows Mobile, further enhances its versatility.
