Apple Launches New Accessories & Wireless Chargers with MagSafe

Apple has recently unveiled the iPhone 12, which incorporates innovative features integrated into the phone’s rear design. Utilizing alignment magnets, accessories can now be easily attached to the back of the device. The company is simultaneously launching a range of new accessories designed to function with this magnetic capability, including updated cases, a wireless charging solution, and a card holder.

The rear of the device contains a complex arrangement of components. These include a magnetometer, a copper-graphite shield, two shielding layers, several magnet layers, an NFC antenna, and other elements.

The inclusion of magnets isn’t merely for aesthetic purposes; it facilitates the creation of an entirely new range of compatible accessories, encompassing both Apple-developed products and those from other manufacturers.

Apple is presenting two new wireless chargers. This marks the second instance of the company introducing a wireless charger, following previous challenges with production of the AirPower charger.

The new MagSafe charger is a straightforward wireless charger that connects magnetically to your iPhone. The MagSafe Dual Charger provides charging for both your iPhone and Apple Watch simultaneously and is designed to fold for convenient portability.

The newly designed iPhone 12 cases will securely attach to the back of the device. Apple will offer cases in silicone, clear, and leather materials, all utilizing MagSafe technology. These cases are designed to connect magnetically and do not require full enclosure of the phone.

It’s possible to use a case in conjunction with wireless charging or any other MagSafe accessory, such as the Apple cardholder, which allows you to attach cards to the back of your phone without needing a separate case.

Accessory manufacturers are already developing MagSafe-compatible products. Belkin is preparing to release a car mount and a multi-device charging dock in the near future.
