Apple TV+ Free Trial Extended - Latest News

If your Apple TV+ complimentary access period is scheduled to conclude in the coming months, specifically between now and June, you’ll be pleased to learn of an added benefit: an extension to your subscription.

Apple TV+ was initially introduced in November 2019, accompanied by a one-year period of free service for customers who purchased a new iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Apple TV, or Mac. When these original trial periods neared completion, Apple proactively lengthened them to February 2021. Now, the company is further extending the availability.

According to initial reports from 9to5Mac, any trial period previously slated to end between February and June 2021 will now continue through July. We’ve directly verified these details with Apple.

Subscribers can anticipate receiving notification of this extension via email in the near future. Those currently with a paid Apple TV+ subscription, or who access it through an Apple One package, will receive a monthly credit of $4.99 through June.

Should you not have yet done so, this presents a good chance to watch Ted Lasso, widely considered one of the most delightful television programs created in recent years. Central Park is also a worthwhile show, although it hasn’t captivated me to the same extent as Loren Bouchard’s other productions (Bob’s Burgers, Home Movies).
