This latest investment propels the company to a valuation exceeding $1 billion, officially achieving unicorn status. It marks Aircall as the 16th French company to reach this milestone.

The company specializes in developing a cloud-based phone system tailored for call centers, customer support teams, and sales organizations. Aircall’s platform offers seamless integration with leading business tools like Salesforce, HubSpot, Zendesk, Slack, and Intercom.

Aircall enables users to establish local phone numbers and implement interactive voice response (IVR) systems. The service efficiently manages call queues, allowing agents to handle incoming calls effectively.
Agents are equipped with features such as call transfer and hold capabilities. Administrators benefit from comprehensive analytics, call monitoring, and performance insights.
Investor Participation
In addition to the lead investment from Goldman Sachs Asset Management, existing investors including DTCP, eFounders, Draper Esprit, Adam Street Partners, NextWorldCap, and Gaia have also contributed to this funding round.

As a cloud-native software solution, Aircall is particularly well-suited for remote and hybrid work environments. The increasing demand for adaptable phone systems, spurred by global lockdowns, has significantly benefited the company.

The company experienced a substantial 65% increase in signups during 2020. Notable new clients include Caudalie, OpenClassrooms, and Too Good To Go. Aircall currently serves a customer base of 8,500 businesses.

Future Plans and Expansion
The newly acquired funding will be allocated towards product development, focusing on new integrations with third-party applications, particularly those specific to various industries.
Aircall intends to establish new offices in London and Berlin, alongside expanding its teams in existing locations such as New York, Paris, Sydney, and Madrid.
Strengthening the Technology Stack
The company is also focused on gaining greater control over its underlying technology infrastructure. This involves strategic collaborations with major telecommunications providers to leverage their networks.
