Scott Belsky Transitions from Adobe to A24

This week, Scott Belsky, currently the chief strategy officer at Adobe, revealed his upcoming move to A24, the renowned independent film studio.

A24 is celebrated for producing acclaimed films such as “Civil War” and “Everything Everywhere All At Once,” among numerous other successful titles.

Belsky’s Tenure at Adobe

Belsky initially became part of Adobe in 2012 with the company’s acquisition of Behance.

He briefly departed in 2016 to pursue a role as a venture capitalist at Benchmark, but ultimately returned to Adobe.

During his second stint, he held the position of executive vice president overseeing design and emerging products.

A24’s Rise and Future Aspirations

Founded in 2012, A24 rapidly gained a dedicated audience, particularly for its distinctive “elevated” horror films like “Hereditary.”

The studio has consistently released critically lauded movies spanning diverse genres.

A24 has also achieved significant industry recognition, securing two Best Picture Oscars for “Everything Everywhere All At Once” and “Moonlight.”

Recent indications suggest A24 is aiming for broader commercial success.

This ambition is evidenced by substantial funding rounds, resulting in a reported company valuation of $3.25 billion.

Belsky’s New Role at A24

In a statement posted on X, Belsky announced his position as a partner at A24.

He indicated he will be initiating “special projects” within the studio.

Belsky expressed his enthusiasm to collaborate with his new colleagues, supporting the creative endeavors of A24’s storytellers.

He stated he is “eager to get to work” with his new partners.
