The latest iPhone models were revealed just a short time ago – it certainly feels that way, despite the passage of time seeming irrelevant these days. While the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro became available in late October following their announcement, the iPhone 12 Pro Max and iPhone Mini will be released for purchase approximately one week later.

A comprehensive evaluation of the mid-range devices can be found in Matthew’s detailed review. As we anticipate the arrival of the entry-level and premium models, I had the opportunity to briefly examine the devices and capture some photographs, which are presented below.

This can be seen as a substitute for the hands-on experiences we previously enjoyed at Apple’s live events, before those were possible.

All four sizes of the new iPhones are currently available. Having recently tested several larger Android phones, the 6.7-inch Pro Max doesn’t strike me as particularly oversized. However, as the top photograph demonstrates, the size difference between it and the Mini is quite noticeable.

A device with a screen two inches larger than the original iPhone is now considered “mini” by a significant margin. Even the 6-inch Pixel 5, which I’ve been using intermittently, now feels relatively compact by current standards.

The 6.1-inch displays on the standard iPhone 12 and 12 Pro appear to be a suitable size for many users. Despite the $400 price difference between the higher-end and lower-end models, many of the core specifications remain consistent. All models include 5G connectivity, the innovative magnetic MagSafe connector, OLED displays, and the A14 chip.

The primary distinctions beyond size, storage, and battery life lie in the camera systems. This is not unexpected, as smartphone manufacturers continue to prioritize advancements in camera technology. A comparison chart detailing these differences is provided below:

The iPhone 12 Pro Max and iPhone 12 Mini will be available in stores starting November 13.
