Next, select the Notifications tab. Within this section, simply uncheck the box labeled Show notification for New email to prevent further alerts.
This adjustment will effectively stop Google Talk from displaying notifications for incoming email.
The process is straightforward and allows users to maintain control over their notification preferences.

Windows Balloon Tips
The Windows operating system is designed with a focus on accommodating users of all technical skill levels. As a result, it frequently displays notifications regarding matters that many users find either unimportant or already understood. These often-unwanted alerts are commonly known as balloon tips.
Disabling Balloon Tips via Group Policy
To deactivate these balloon tips, begin by accessing the Start menu and initiating a search for Group Policy. Select the Edit group policy result from the search findings. Then, navigate through the following path: User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Start Menu and Taskbar.
Within the list of available settings, locate the entry labeled Turn off all balloon notifications and double-click to open its configuration panel.
The description states: "If you enable this setting, no notification balloons will be shown to the user." Therefore, to disable the balloon notifications, the Enabled option must be selected. Conversely, to re-enable the balloon tips, choose Disabled or set the configuration to Not Configured.
Alternative Method: Registry Hack
