xAI Grok iOS App: Testing Standalone Chatbot

Grok Chatbot Now Available as a Stand-Alone iOS App
xAI, the artificial intelligence firm founded by Elon Musk, is currently evaluating a dedicated iOS application for its Grok chatbot.
Previously, access to Grok was limited to users of the X platform. Now, the app is live in several nations, including the United States, Australia, and India.
Key Features of the Grok App
The Grok application is capable of accessing current information from both the internet and the X platform.
It provides a range of generative AI functionalities, such as text rewriting and summarization of extensive content.
Furthermore, it supports question answering and the creation of images based on textual descriptions.
According to the app description, Grok is engineered to be a highly truthful, helpful, and inquisitive AI assistant.
Users can obtain answers to diverse queries, produce compelling visuals, and analyze images to enhance their understanding of the surrounding world.
Expanding Accessibility of Grok
xAI is also in the process of establishing a dedicated website, Grok.com, to broaden access to the chatbot via web browsers.
At present, the website displays a “coming soon” message for users who log in with an xAI account.
Initially, Grok was exclusively available to paying subscribers of X.
However, the company initiated testing of a free version in November and subsequently made it available to all users earlier this month.
Image Generation Capabilities
xAI asserts that its chatbot’s image generation model demonstrates proficiency in “photorealistic rendering.”
Notably, the model imposes minimal limitations on image creation, permitting users to generate images featuring public figures and copyrighted materials.
This report has been updated to reflect the beta launch of the Grok app in multiple countries.
